More than 50% of employees already use generative AI tools at work, according to Betterworks\u2019 report, How the Workforce is Responding to Generative AI Challenges and Responsibilities<\/em><\/a>, regardless of whether their employer has AI policies or how HR feels about it. Betterworks expects in the not-too-distant future that close to 100% of people will use AI to help write performance reviews and feedback, provide manager guidance to coach employees, and assist with other tasks many people don\u2019t enjoy or feel are too time-consuming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But leaders have been slower to adopt AI into their workflows, Hung says, which he believes is a missed opportunity. \u201cHow can we use this general-purpose technology to really redesign and reinvent some of the processes that we\u2019ve been conventionally very used to?\u201d Hung asks. \u201cWe\u2019re at the stage now where I think we want to do it \u2014 we have to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nEmbrace the unpredictability of new tech<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
