For <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/andrea-malec\/\">Andrea Malec<\/a>, manager of talent management and development at <a href=\"https:\/\/drivingforcegroup.com\/\">The Driving Force Group of Companies<\/a>, the answer was to create a game-changing people-first approach through continuous performance management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Driving Force provides a network of transportation solutions that spans nearly 40 locations and includes almost 600 team members across five companies throughout Canada and the US. Its performance processes were disjointed \u2014 often localized or non-existent. With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betterworks.com\/product\/okr-software\/\">Betterworks Goals<\/a>, people have visibility into the executives\u2019 goals \u2014 and they\u2019re clearly spelled out for all to easily understand. They get both now with Betterworks Conversations. \u201cIt\u2019s employee-owned but manager-supported and organization-enabled,\u201d Andrea says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manager-employee conversations with discussion templates simplify the process for everyone by providing structure. The focus of performance conversations has changed annually in the first two years, with employees evaluated on competencies that reflect values they care about, such as growth and development, customer focus, collaboration, and change agility. Employee feedback shows the approach is working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make sure their employee experience remains strong, Andrea\u2019s team uses the Betterworks Engage survey tool to listen to and act on feedback and ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-future-stages-of-the-mission\">Future stages of the mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, Driving Force plans to roll out additional conversations, one-to-one meetings, employee development plans, and succession planning. For now, they are thrilled with the positivity employees feel about recognition, teamwork, and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBetterworks has gone over very, very well,\u201d Andrea says.\u201d Leaders love it.
