And they are right to worry because a motivated workforce is truly a competitive advantage that ensures today\u2019s top priorities are achieved and that people are learning, developing and growing in order to successfully address tomorrow\u2019s challenges. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Motivating a workforce is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrtechnologist.com\/interviews\/hr-analytics\/employee-engagement-toolkit-conversation-motivation-amp-feedback\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">continuous process, not something that can occur just one time a year with a backward-looking performance review<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It requires leaders to engage each employee\u2019s sense of purpose through focusing their work on what matters most to the organization, and to them personally.
