Among employees who always feel satisfied with manager conversations \u2014 in particular, career and development check-ins \u2014 81% are very productive, and 73% always feel engaged. Compare that with employees who are rarely or never satisfied with manager conversations \u2014 only 55% are very productive, and only 48% are always engaged. Effective coaching conversations are also more likely to make employees feel valued and report that they enjoy working for their employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evidence shows that coaching produces business results, yet barely half (54%) of managers feel confident in their coaching abilities and less than a quarter feel they get adequate support from HR.
